Kat’s verdictFor enemy Hunter, Harvest and Forging Temples in Server War, verify the qualifying troop power and a moving timer before settling in. Extra power above the scoring cap buys no additional score rate by itself.

Use the official thresholds

The official 2026-05-22 notice requires at least 100 million occupying troop power for time and scoring to count. Score per second stops increasing at 500 million troop power. It states minimum and maximum occupation scores of 600 and 10,600. Do not substitute total keep power for the troops occupying the Temple.

An accessible Empire Build Academy guide still lists a 9.5 million minimum. That conflicts with the later official rule; do not build a march around it. This is a newly covered rule clarification, not an October patch announcement.

Continuity has value

The official notice pairs continuous occupation of 30 / 60 / 120 / 240 minutes with immediate extra credited time of 5 / 15 / 60 / 160 minutes. Leaving in any way breaks continuity. These are occupation-time bonuses, not free protection or guaranteed survival.

Keep actual elapsed time separate from credited time. The notice does not clearly explain whether bonus time advances later thresholds or how every replacement scenario behaves. Do not add the bonuses into a promised capture timetable. Watch the live counter and current rules before planning a handover.

Choose exposure deliberately

Illustrative comparison: 90 million troop power is below the requirement; 120 million clears it; 550 million is above the score-rate cap. Those figures do not prove any march can survive. Composition, generals, opposition and recovery cost still matter. The scoring system is not offering insurance.

Check current SvS eligibility and Temple rules on your server. Record occupying troop power and timer before and after any interruption. If the timer fails to move, verify the minimum and current client before adding troops; do not assume every failure is a confirmed bug. Withdraw when the likely loss exceeds the value of continuing, even near a bonus.
